Plans are made. Reservations confirmed. OOOps, who will take care of the cat(s)? While you are away, I can be KAREN FOR YOUR CATS, providing loving, tender care for your companion in the comfort of your own home.

As each cat is unique, her services will be tailored to her needs. Each visit will include feeding, cleaning of litter box(es), freshening water, brushing (if possible) and playing with and loving your cat. At no additional charge, I will water plants, retrieve mail and newspapers, take trash cans in or out, open and/or close window coverings and make sure your home has that lived-in look. I will happily provide email or telephone updates to let you know all is well.

Cats like nothing less than change. Having your cat stay at home in her own familiar environment will spare her (and you) the trauma of being put in a carrier and transported to a kennel where she will be exposed to an unfamiliar environment and other cats she does not know. Your home will be looked after and your companion cared for by someone you have met and trust.

(Because of the difficulties with our language, I have used only the feminine; in fact, I do take care of male cats as well as cats who have outdoor access.)

In the event your cat needs medication, sub-cutaneous fluids or insulin, this too, can be done in your home.
